Fast Track Your Students’ Power Chord Progress - This songbook makes teaching power chords to students so easy and fun.

• Gradual Skill Progression - So many method books increase the skill difficulty so quickly, resulting in students feeling disheartened because they can’t complete their songs. The difficulty level of songs in the Songbook slowly increases over time so students feel constantly motivated as the songs aren’t too hard or too easy.

• Teaches students how to practice songs - The Level Up Method songs include checkboxes for each line of the mini song. Students must complete particular challenges to complete the song. This way of teaching encourages students to work through the songs at their own pace and gives them a framework that they can use when they’re practicing other pieces.

• Tiered Learning Levels makes it super effective for Classroom Guitar - This playsheet can be used in several different teaching formats but can work super well in group classes as you can give particular students different levels depending on their abilities. Alternatively, all students can be on the same level but the quicker students can go ahead and complete some of the extra challenges.

• Quick and Easy to use - print it out for each student or work through it as a class by displaying it on a TV or Computer

How to Complete:

• Each song has a list of challenges for the students to complete.
• Challenge 1 ) Write the name of the power chord under the Fret Numbers (E5, A5, D5) to develop their understanding of each chord
• Challenge 2 ) Clap and say the rhythm for the first line - once that is completed, they tick off the 2nd guitar pick symbol for the line that they just completed
• Challenge 3) Play each line 4 times in a row without a mistake once that is completed, they tick off the 3rd guitar pick symbol for the line that they just completed
• Extra: Students who complete the main songs super quickly have the option to complete the ‘Bonus Guitar 2 Part’ that can be played as a duet with Guitar 1. They can also complete the ‘Level Up Challenges’ at the bottom of the page (Guitar Pick 4, 5, 6 & 7).
• Once the whole playsheet has been completed, the teacher can sign it as completed in the bottom right-hand corner to track the students’ progress
• If the song and all 7 challenges are completed, the teacher can tick off ‘Level Up Credit Earned’.
