Ontario Elementary Term 2 Comment Builder Bank

Now that we no longer use TWEA and many boards are now using Aspen in Ontario, writing report cards is more time-consuming and stressful than usual.

If you are unfamiliar with Google Sheets, I have included explainer videos embedded in the sheets.

Learning Skills Comment Bank is Ready to Go

This comment builder is already populated with strengths and next steps for all of your Learning Skills for Term 1. Enter your student names, select your strength and your next step from the drop-down menu, and your comment will populate.

This spreadsheet also includes areas for you to enter your own comment banks for:

Fill in the comment bank areas with your own personalized comments for each level and strand using the code language provided, then select your levels in the main spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet is set up with the necessary coding and formulae to generate your comments for you. Comments include appropriate gender pronouns (including they/them) and student names. Character counters are included for the comment banks and the final comments. The counter turns red when you are approaching the character limit in Aspen.

When you are finished, all you will need to do is copy and paste your comments into Aspen.
