What educators are saying

Absolutely loved this activity! Used it with my students when we returned from break in the new year. Such a great way to reflect and set goals with kids. Expectations are clear and format is well laid out.
I used this as a project for the first full week that we were back from winter break, and it was the perfect assignment that held their attention and kept them working all hour without overwhelming them! Thanks for sharing such a great resource!

Description

⭐ NO PREP DIGITAL ACTIVITY: Throw out those New Year resolutions and join the One Word 365 movement! With this digital project template, students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will choose one word to guide their thinking and actions throughout the year.

Students will:

  • reflect on what went well and what they would change from last year
  • brainstorm possible words to guide them in the current year
  • choose one of the words and explain it in a paragraph
  • view examples of visual representations
  • create a visual representation of their word

**DESIGNED FOR GRADES 6-8**

Students can complete this activity with teacher guidance and pacing or independently and at their own pace. It can be used in both the traditional classroom and for remote learning.
