You'll have lots of practice for your students with six differentiated and easy-to-use worksheets. With three difficulty levels, students start with easier questions and then move to more challenging ones as they gain confidence with one-step equations with fractions and decimals. The instruction boxes on the top of each page have all the steps and examples, making it easier for parents and caregivers to help with homework. Answer keys are provided for easy grading and are great for students to self-check their work.

How will students practice? The first three worksheets ask the students to break the problem into steps. The students work through a process where they determine the operation used on the variable, the inverse operation, what they should do to isolate the variable, their answer, and then a check. The second set of 3 worksheets asks the students to solve the problem.

There 3 different levels of practice problems

✅ Level 1 – Basic practice problems

✅ Level 2 – Intermediate practice problems

✅ Level 3 – Most challenging practice problems

How can I use these worksheets?

Differentiated math worksheets are great because you can have students start with level 1 and then move to levels 2 and 3 as they gain more confidence. You could also, for example, use level 1 for classwork, level 2 for homework, then level 3 for review.

Here are some other ways you can use these in your classroom:
