Do your students need more practice with one step addition and subtraction word problems? Numberless word problems are the perfect way to build problem solving skills. This pack includes 10 weeks of addition and subtraction numberless word problems for students. All word problem types are included for both addition and subtraction within 10. Problem types include result unknown, change unknown, and start unknown. This product is great for whole class instruction during your word problem lessons or as your class morning math warm up. For each problem there are 4 slides that break the problem down into 4 steps (reading and making a movie in your mind, modeling the problem, filling in the numbers given, and finally coming up with an equation and solution). The product is broken down into 10 pdfs (see below) and each one has 4 problems. It's NO PREP! Just pick the type of problem you want to work on, pull up that pdf on your interactive whiteboard, and you're ready to go! Student recording pages are included.

Easel: I have included 2 Easel products with this bundle. They can be used as a whole class activity or can be assigned to students individually.
- Activity: This self checking activity has 6 word problems (1 for each problem type). Students click the speakers to hear the problems read first without numbers and then with numbers. They can drag and drop counters and x's to model the problem. Finally, they can click on the number they think is the answer and they will be told right away if they are correct or incorrect.
- Assessment: This self grading assessment has 6 words problems (1 for each problem type). Students click the speakers to hear the word problems and then select the answer from the multiple choice.

Why I love it: It gives my students tons of practice solving word problems by thinking about the context of the problem not just focusing on the numbers. I usually pick one day a week during our math warm up to do these problems. You can do all of the problems in a day or break it up over multiple days depending on what works for you!
