On a Journey Movie 4 Pack (All Four Films Are Rated PG)

This movie bundle includes my guides for Onward, Dolittle, Frozen 2, and Call of the Wild. All of these films are available for individual sale in my store but this bundle allows you to save a bit on four films. Each of these films are from late 2019/early 2020 and involve going on a journey or adventure. You may click on the previews above to read more about each movie guide.

ONWARD

Onward, by Disney and Pixar, follows the story of two elven brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, who are on a magical quest to have one more day with their late father. The story was influenced by filmmaker’s Dan Scanlon’s experience of losing his father at a young age. This film would be great when teaching self confidence, encouraging each other, embracing what makes us unique, and the value of family. Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mel Rodriguez, Ali Wong, and Lena Waithe voice characters in this charming film.

DOLITTLE

Dolittle follows the story of a grief-stricken Dr. John Dolittle. He locks himself away with his animals after the loss of his wife but must venture out in the world in order to save the queen and his home. Dolittle has the extraordinary gift of being able to talk the animals and understand them. This sweet and funny film examines the needs for helping others and friendship. This film would be fun to watch when discussing friendship. It could also work for an End of the Year film. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Harry Collett, Antonio Banderas, and Michael Sheen. Octavia Spencer, John Cena, Rami Malek, Emma Thompson, Craig Robinson, Kumail Nanjiani, Tom Holland, Ralph Fiennes, and Selena Gomez voice the animals.

FROZEN 2

Anna and Elsa are back in Frozen II! Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven join them as they head to the Enchanted Forrest in hopes of learning how to save Arendelle. Things are not always what they seem, and the sisters soon learn the truth about their family. This film would be a great addition when discussing taking risks, being vulnerable with our feelings like Kristoff, or why doing the right thing matters. One could use this for a Fun Day film, movie after testing, or an End of the Year film. The film stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Sterling K. Brown, and more!

CALL OF THE WILD

Call of the Wild is based on Jack London’s adventure novel by the same name. This Disney movie follows Buck, a pampered dog, who is stolen and sold as a sled dog. Set in the 1890s, Buck’s new life leads him on several adventures as he learns to survive. This film takes place in Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. Buck learns many lessons from various owners and learns to answer the call of the wild. The film stars Harrison Ford, Omar Sy, Cara Gee, Dan Stevens, Bradley Whitford, and Karen Gillan.
