This resource kept students engaged during the film! They appreciated the fact that the prompts were more than just surface-level questions about the film.

Description

Have your students make comparisons between John Steinbeck's novella, Of Mice and Men, and Gary Sinise's 1992 movie. This four-page packet asks students to compare depictions of characters and settings, and note changes from the novella. At the end, students read an excerpt of the move's review from The New York Times and state whether they agree or disagree with the review.

The packet is designed to keep students focused and engaged while watching the film in class. You can, however, decide to use only certain sections of the packet depending on your needs.
