12 pages for students to explore the themes and topics in Parable of the Sower, a dystopian novel by Octavia Butler:

  • Earthseed

Students search online for information. Students also analyze and summarize the novel and graphic novel version. Students describe and compare characters, and describe the settings in the story as the characters travel northward. Students also summarize the parable that is the basis of this book and explain what it teaches us about life.
