Have your students write research reports on 20 Ocean Animals with this hands-on digital resource. There is a selection of 20 cover options featuring Ocean Animals. Students will document information in fun flipbook-style templates in google slides ( a free app in the google drive suite). Students have the option to digitally submit the completed flipbook report for feedback and grading. Student checklists and teacher marking rubrics included.

The templates may also be printed after students have entered their information on the blackline templates to color and display on the bulletin board. The color templates may also be printed or submitted digitally.

Suggested use if Printing:

Have students document information in their flipbook on the animal under study. Print out the templates and compile the flipbook. This could also serve as their draft where they could use the self-editing and peer-editing checklists to edit. The sections pertaining to habitat, diet, life-cycle, and behaviour/behavior can make-up the Body of the Report and 1-2 interesting facts to conclude the Information Report.

PREPARATION IF PRINTING TEMPLATES TO COMPILE A FLIPBOOK

- one cut on the bottom horizontal line for each template

→ For grades 2-3, bundle up to 6 sheets together after sorting, align them perfectly and cut on the bottom horizontal line.

→ For grades 4-6, students are old enough to cut and compile flipbooks on their own.
