Description
This is good for any sport and can be passed out at a first practice or a parent meeting.
I created this handout to give to my athletes at the beginning of track season. It includes basics on foods and water intake. It also includes a simple YES and NO list they can hang on their fridge regarding foods they should and should not eat.
If you want to be a successful athlete, you have to be aware of nutrition. What you put into your body will directly affect what you get out of it. Following good nutrition guidelines can give you more energy and improve your performance on the track or in any athletic competition. Athletes need high-protein and high-carbohydrate diets and also need to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Focusing on making healthy choices daily will significantly help your performance.
