What educators are saying

The bright posters with the visuals are a great way to introduce and "track" print as I teach the rhymes to my little learners. The crowns are always a hit and a great way to build practice with scissor skills as the lines are straight lines.
4K students love making crowns! Such a cute and engaging product. Very simple and easy to prep! Thanks!

Description

These Nursery Rhyme Crowns are great for practicing nursery rhymes with your students. Nursery rhymes are so important in speech and language development. They also lay foundations for musical development in beat, meter, form, and expression. perfectlypink

I have included a copy of the words for each nursery rhyme that you can project onto the board, create posters or a flip book.

Each nursery rhyme has a crown that has the title and clip art for the rhyme on the front and the words on the back. I thought this would be a neat way for the kids to “take the nursery rhymes home”. So many times, music and rhymes are not a part of our students’ home lives. Maybe these crowns will help parents find little ways to interact with their kids, building language skills and preserving the rhymes of our cultural heritage.

PLEASE NOTE: These posters and crowns are a part of two of the following sets:
Songs and Nursery Rhymes for Young Children
and
More Nursery Rhymes for Young Children
which include extension activities for the nursery rhymes and songs such as vocal exploration pathways and steady beat charts.
