Description

What are number series?

  • These are quantitative (number based) patterns represented by objects in columns. The goal is to determine the next logical amount in the series by identifying the patterns.
  • This activity encourages students to think outside of the box and is often used in Gifted & Talented admissions tests such as CoGAT, T&E, NNAT. It can be used for your differentiated instruction or math centers. Encourage students to explain their rationale as they solve these patterns.
