What educators are saying

Absolutely love these, I use them every year. I don't put them up right away yet I put the numbers up as I teach them, I use them as a resource for my students. Since I put them up as I teach the number they know specifically which numbers are which by the time all numbers 0-20 are up!

Description

**This set is also available in a polka dot border. Check my store!

It is extremely important for kids to have a SOLID understanding of what a number is, or number sense. This packet shows many different ways to represent a number, helps kids visualize what a number is, helps promote number sense and is a great tool to help children subitize. When you roll a die, you don’t count the dots. You subitize! We learn to recognize on dice, dominoes, ten frames, etc. the number quickly, without having to count. Number fluency is key to successful mathematicians!

The ways to represent a number that I've included are:
-dice
-ten frames
-tally marks
-unifix cubes
-number line
-dominoes
-base ten blocks
-number word
-numeral

Post the set on a wall, make into a class book, or use when introducing each number.

If you like this packet, check out my “Number of the Day / Today’s Number” in my TPT store.

Thank you!
