Notable Women Hero Printable Awards

These awards are perfect to hand out to students for Women's History Month, or all year long! These printable, color certificates honor the contributions of 22 notable women from the present and the past.

The women featured possess a diverse range of accomplishments: they're artists, lawyers, peacemakers, warriors, philanthropists, scientists, activists, etc. My intention in making these awards was to inspire the students in my class --especially the girls-- to see themselves the traits of heroic female change-makers that came before them.

I included a page of links for websites with biographical information about each notable woman. This list is a great starting point for assigning a Women's History Month research project to students. One possible idea: each student is responsible for researching the woman corresponding to the certificate they receive.
