Math Mats are my favorite for no-prep activities. These activities are perfect for centers or small group work. They are designed to be hands-on and interactive, allowing students to apply the concepts they have learned in a fun and engaging way.
To use: just slide them into dry erase pockets and add manipulatives for hands-on practice!
TIP: Re-use the activities later as a math center! Students already know how to do the activity and it makes math centers easier to plan!

Brain Check
- This is designed to be a summative assessment at the end of the unit.
- It assesses the following:
1.MD.A.1 Order three objects by length; compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.
1.MD.A.2 Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
- I included 2 versions that could be used as a pre-test and post test in your classroom.
- Answer keys are also included!
