    Creating the Projects

Projects require supplies found in most classrooms - printables, construction paper, scissors, glue, crayons, etc. No hard-to-find supplies needed!

Class time will vary depending upon how much time the teacher gives students in class to read and work on their case.

For my students, we spend part of a class period in the library looking for books. Students select a book, and I keep a record of the books selected.

Once everyone has a book selected, I give students 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to read and complete the project.

In addition, I take three - five days and have students present their books and projects. (I use this as an oral presentation grade.) I find it is better to do a few presentations each day instead of doing them all in one period.
