Description

This past year, I had several students who needed either academic or medical accommodations. I found myself wishing I had a book to explain the situation to the rest of the class. Many times, the other students did not think it was fair that a student was getting, what they perceived to be, special treatment.

In the story, the teacher has a class with diverse needs. Despite that, she is able to give each student exactly what they need, even though it is very different for each child.

*************************
Sheep does not think it is fair when his teacher gives his classmates special tools to help them learn. Sheep wants to use all the special tools too. Things don't go as planned. In the end, he realizes that fair isn't about giving everyone the exact same thing. Fair is about giving everyone what they need.
