Nitrogen Cycle: From Poop to Plants

Students role-play as NITROGEN and cycle through ecosystem. Students simulate being nitrogen and get an in person experience as to where and how nitrogen makes its way in and out of living things.

A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.

The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.

Lab station materials provided along with a student worksheet.

Questions at the end of the lesson asses understanding. Answer key provided.

Additional supplies needed: D6 dice.
