This is a Revised and Updated ELA CCSS Aligned Thematic Unit about New Year’s Traditions Around the World for Grades 2-3.The countries included are: America, Mexico, Denmark, Greece, Switzerland, China, and Israel. Students will learn about the first new year celebration, when each country celebrates the new year, interesting traditions, and special foods eaten through fun reading and writing activities.
