Description
This Boom Cards™ deck contains 39 cards to target social skills for older students. This deck would allow you to engage conversations with the child using a New Year's Day theme. You can also assess the child's fluency, comparative thinking, and ability to formulate sentences.
It contains the following:
⭐ Card 1 - Menu Card
⭐ Card 2 - Card 3 - Guide Questions on "How did 'you' [student] celebrate New Year's Day?"
⭐ Card 4 - Summary for the New Year Celebration with a prompt guide on the side (When, Where, Who, What, Why)
⭐ Card 5 - Card 7 - The child will list 10 things s/he is grateful for and tell why s/he is thankful. It has a starter phrase "I am grateful/thankful for..."
⭐ Card 8 - Card 10 - The child will list 10 things s/he learned from the past year that s/he will bring to this year. It has a starter phrase "I have learned to/that..."
⭐ Card 11 - Menu Card for New Year's Resolution: [1] Would you Rather and [2] Write your Resolutions
⭐ Card 12 - Card 21 (10 Cards) - The student will pick which resolution s/he would like to work on and type why below.
NOTE: Both resolutions are set to be correct so DON'T hit the 'submit' button if not both choices are picked because it will register as wrong (Message from Boom: "You have not found all the answers")
⭐ Card 22 - Card 26 (5 Cards/Items) - Write your own resolution by filling out two boxes: [1] bad habits to change/ good habits to develop and [2] New Year's Resolution
⭐ Card 27 - Menu Card for New Year's Goals Target Areas: Self, School, Friends, Family
⭐ Card 28 - Card 39 - Three (3) Goals each for Self, Friends, Family, School
FINAL NOTE - All boxes are set to be open-ended. Manual grading is needed.
