Description

Celebrate the 2024 New Year with your students with this self-checking and fun digital mystery puzzle! Great for when you come from winter break! This activity focuses on multiplication with 1, 2, 3, and 4 digit factors.

What is a Mystery Puzzle?

A mystery puzzle is a digital math activity using Google Sheets that is similar to a color by code. Students enter their answer in the gray answer box. If their answer is correct, not only will part of the mystery image be revealed but the answer box will turn green. If their answer is incorrect, part of the mystery image will not be revealed and the answer box will turn red. Students know right away if they are correct or incorrect.

What is so great about it?

The amazing thing for teachers and students is this resource is self-checking. No need to spend hours grading! As students work independently you can use your time in a more efficient manner to help those students who need extra support. Students love that is self-checking too. Students are given confidence when they know they are completing the problems correctly. It also allows them to take ownership of their learning by finding their errors or asking for help.
