What educators are saying

This resource was a great addition to our lessons during Autism awareness and mental health months. I enjoyed sharing the material and it was well-received by my ASD students.
Helpful resource for teaching a student with learning differences. I've used several resources from this educator and have found them all very helpful.

    Description

Are you teaching students about neurodiversity, disabilities and mental health? This is an editable no prep group of lessons on the history of disabilities, how to be inclusive, ableism, physical disabilities, neurodiversity, developmental disabilities, autism and mental health conditions. Custom videos are included in each lesson.

Check out my free Neurodiversity YouTube playlist covering different disabilities (and subscribe by clicking here).

This set of lessons covers many disability & mental health lessons, including:

    • Disability Awareness
    • Neurodiversity
    • Mental Health
    • Autism (Level 1)
    • Autism (Level 2)
    • ADHD
    • Sensory Overload

Included are follow-up questions, new vocab review, and 3 differentiated quizzes for students. You can present the lesson remotely or in person, and then test students' knowledge at the end! These activities could be used with elementary school students, middle school, high school or students of varying ages and special education backgrounds.

Please watch the PREVIEW to see exactly what is included! Each Google Slide uses large font and has a visual.

Please note these lessons uses identity-first language, as I aim to respect the wishes of the neurodiverse community :) I hope it stirs great conversations in your classrooms!
