What educators are saying
Thank you for this fantastic resource. The children found these visuals (printed in A3) helpful to self-regulate.
Description
This visual resource is designed to support neurodivergent styles of emotion and/or energy level identification and selection of a corresponding self or co-regulation strategy.
The squares can be cut/laminated into separate pieces if seeing them all at once is too overstimulating. We also included blank squares for individuals to come up with and draw/write their own strategies.
This resource is intentionally designed for accessible use across the lifespan– as compared to most self-regulation resources which are targeted to children.
Please keep in mind context-specific considerations. Well regulated does not mean always mean calm. For example, when engaged in a fun activity "regulation" may look like being full of energy and excitement.
