Neurodiversity Affirming OT Practice Starter Pack

We are so excited to release our latest passion project, “Neurodiversity Affirming Practice: A Starter Pack of Supporting Terms, Resources, and Evidence”– By Jacklyn Googins, MS, OTR/L and Greg Boheler, MS, OTR/L (Autistic/Neurodivergent occupational therapists)

This resource is designed to give occupational therapists (and others) a starting point for their journey toward ethical practice with Autistic and otherwise Neurodivergent populations. This is what we wish we had as new grad OTs, so we created it! It includes key theories / frames of reference, need-to-know terms/definitions, a case study, links to ND-affirming organizations and self-advocate work, and reference pages of the evidence we’ve compiled.

Disclaimer: It’s not perfect. In alignment with the whole concept of ND-affirming practice, we are constantly learning and unlearning. This guide will probably go through many editions :)
