Description

This lesson introduces netiquette: what are the rules of internet etiquette? What is proper behavior when communicating online? Help your students develop safe and appropriate practices when participating in online activities, such as discussion baords, blogs, and social networking sites. Digital conversations are often non-verbal, and this lesson explains what non-verbal communication is and how to prevent misunderstandings online. Formal and informal writing is also discussed, and email etiquette is explained. After the introduction presentation, your students will learn about memes, and then they will complete a three-part assignment which culminates in the students creating two original memes, each depicting a rule of netiquette.
