Nature Arts and Crafts Printable Pack

Whether you’re brand new to the concept of nature play or a seasoned nature crafter and supporter of forest schools, this Nature Art and Craft Printable pack will provide hours of fun, learning and creativity for you and your children.

As mothers and educators, many of us know it’s important to limit our children’s screen time. Yet, on average, children spend up to 4 hours a day in front of the TV, iPad or our phones. It is now more important than ever that we allow our children to grow and learn through hands-on play experiences with nature.

The Nature Art and Craft Printable pack includes more than 30 printables but all have the ability to provide even more activities just by using them with different natural materials!

Jam-packed full of wondrous activities, I created these printables with two main objectives:

1. To encourage kids outside and collect some beautiful natural materials for art and

crafts.

2. To encourage children to engage in the tactile experience of crafting with the

natural materials they collected.

There are even a couple of printable sheets for days when you just have no option but to stay inside.

If you’re a planner – there’s over a month’s worth of DAILY nature craft activities available in this printable pack and many are versatile and can be used multiple times in different ways.

If you’re not a planner – these are great to pull out when you have nothing planned at all. All you’ll need is access to the outdoors and a few common craft items like glue and scissors to bring them to life. Some don’t even need that!

I’ve tried to make it really easy for you. Each activity comes with its own page that features a list of materials and step-by-step instructions for setting up each activity. If you’re an educator, they’re perfect to display on your centre parent board to show what activity the children will be participating in that day. There are also some helpful tips on how to extend their learning and how to best display your finished artworks.

Inside, you’ll find printables to help support play, weaving, patterns, sensory development, fine motor skills, and most importantly, creative thinking! Nature appreciation is an underlying theme because that’s the reason I made the pack in the first place!

The activities in this printable pack are suited to children of many different age groups. I don’t outline specific ages on each activity because every child develops differently and I believe you know your children and students best.

In my opinion, though, it is most suitable for children between the age bracket of 3 to 10 years. Some of the nature printables start with the basics and move to a printable that’s slightly more complex. For example, in the pack, we have weaving activities, one that starts with the basics of weaving grass and another that builds on more complex weaving with a printable basket weave template.
