What educators are saying

A good no-prep activity for my class that lasted several days. I had the class help me create individualized extension activities when we were finished.
This was a great way to kick off our unit on the Voices of Native Americans! I love how it included high-interest topics like sports mascots.

Description

Native American Equity and Social Justice Resource

In this resource supporting equality and equity for Native Americans, students better understand the culture of native people and debunk negative stereotypes by examining five current issues. Students examine why mascots of native people are offensive, the best way to properly address Native Americans, and, among others, how member status can change drastically based on one's tribal affiliation.
