Description
This Native Americans Lesson is the perfect way to teach your students about the conflict between the settlers and Native Americans during Westward Expansion. The lesson focuses on The Lakota Tribe, the Battle at Little Bighorn, The Nez Perce Tribe, and the Wounded Knee Massacre.
The Native Americans lesson covers the following topics:
- Reservations
- Treaty with the Lakota Tribe
- Chief Sitting Bull
- Battle at Little Bighorn

- The PowerPoint Lesson is visually engaging and include many pictures, video links, and thought-provoking questions! I use it to teach my fifth graders about this concept, but it is appropriate for older students as well.
- This lesson includes a page of guided notes that students can use to follow along while you teach. The Guided Notes come in both a printable and digital version for use with Google Classroom.
This lesson (along with interactive notes, printables, and more) is INCLUDED in my Westward Expansion Unit
