Description

This Native American project/lesson will ignite imagination to explore the arctic, the amazing polar bears who live there and the connection between art and math. You will use fractions to guide students in creating a Polar Bear. The lesson involves creating a painted watercolor background with a "crystal" snow effect + air dry modeling clay. As an extension there is a fraction planner for students to engage in the creation of their own idea. They will approximate in fractions to plan out their 2nd sculpture.
