Native American Music- 3 Songs/ Listening Activity/ Resources

I created this for Native American Heritage Month, but it is great for use at any time of the year! All materials are authentic and come directly from each tribe's tradition or contemporary life.

Included are: 

1. Slides presentation with:
   1. 2 singing activities (Anishinabee Water Song and Giizis Binoojiyag- Ojibwe) - Lyrics, translations, meanings, and background
   2. 1 listening activity- Tuscarora song "Heartbeat Drum Song" with guiding questions
   3. Bonus: 1 resource slide with lots of links to online resources and books
   4. Bonus: 3 virtual classroom or center exploration slides on Native American Flutes and contemporary Native American artists
2. A folder of mp3 audio files that can be inserted into slides or uploaded to your music library

Tips:

• Slides work best uploaded to Google Slides, but can be used in Powerpoint as well.
• In PowerPoint all videos are hyperlinked to YouTube in presenter view.
• In Google Slides all videos play directly in presentation.
• Check the speaker notes in the presentation for more links and information on the songs.
