Description

Native American Heritage Month is a very important month in our country. In a world where the inclusion of different cultures is essential, our duty as teachers is to teach our students tolerance and respect. That is why I created this non-discriminatory material, with the intention that each of our students become aware to make this a better world.

It can be used both physically and digitally.

It includes:

- Text "The History of Hispanic Heritage Month".

p2:

- Reading comprehension questions.

- Make a timeline.

p3:

- Questions of personal expression.

- List of ideas for a more inclusive classroom.

p4:

- Video "Why do we celebrate Native American Heritage Month ?".

- Listening comprehension questions.

p5:

- Video "Important Native American People".

- Choose a person from the video.

- Research his biography.

p6:

- Description of the person chosen (personal data, interesting information and events that made them known).

p7:

- Debate on the importance of native culture in the country.

- How does it enrich us?

-How to be more inclusive?

- Write the best ideas that came up in the debate.

p8:

- Write an essay using the concepts and ideas emerged during the class.

p9; 10:

- Answers.
