Wrapping your Head Around it All (C3) - Walking you through each important section of the instructions, this guide asks pointed questions to help you navigate all the intricacies of this component. Throughout the guide, examples are given to show how to utilize the graphic organizers to ensure you are fully prepared to complete each specific element of this complicated component.

2. Safe, Fair, Equitable, Challenging - this component asks you to analyze how your classroom/lessons are safe, fair, equitable, and challenging. This guide comes with questions that will help you to break each of these apart and analyze them separately with things you are already doing in your classroom.

3. Component 3 Sentence Frames - This resource comes with 37 sentence frames that break down the 5 categories Component 3 requires you to show in your commentary.

This Video Planning Guide walks you through the elements you should include in your lesson. It will help you make sure that you've embedded everything you need into your lesson plan so that you can answer all of the analysis questions and highlight the strong work that you are already doing as a teacher! It also includes a helpful tips, tricks, and reminders section (remember to walk through your room and remove anything that identifies your school!).

My business partner and I are both National Boards Certificated Teachers (Certified under the new system and completed the MOC) who used these resources when we went through the process. We also have experience running National Boards cohorts. These WORK and will help you frame your analysis in a clear way, but it is not a magic wand that will do the work for you. The lesson planning, substance of your analysis, and resources must still be your own based on your teaching and your students.

It includes common pitfalls that we see many candidates falling into.
