Description

Narrative Writing Hooks and Writing Practice. Examples from literature of various writing hooks. Students learn that writer's use enticing beginnings to engage readers, grab their attention, lead them into a story. They apply this by using a hook in their own writing. Has a list of 20 famous first lines in children's books that students can read and discuss. Includes writing practice assignments and a reflection page, along with teacher directions. Great for substitute, homework, homeschool, remote learning, or independent study.
