Mystery Shape - SMARTBoard activity

“Mystery Shape” is a SMARTBoard activity that will get your students thinking about the attributes and descriptive properties of shapes. Each shape is covered by a circle with a question mark inside it. The teacher will read a clue about the shape, the students will discuss what shape it could be and then the shape will be revealed when the question mark is touched. The students will have to use their prior knowledge to discern what the shape is.

This describes many 2D and 3D shapes. This can be done whole group, in small centers, as an assessment activity or you can choose to do one slide a day as a warm-up/review.
