Are you looking for fun and engaging activities to support your student’s understanding of the Bible? Use a C.S.I theme!

This Crime Scene Investigation utilizes a great theme that encourages critical thinking while teaching about the bible as well.

This bible study is designed for ages 9-12, or grades 4th - 6th, to work individually or in groups.

Students use higher-order thinking skills to understand the role of witnesses and forensics in C.S.I. as well as in the Bible.

These skills include:

  • Recalling Prior Knowledge
  • Defining Vocabulary
  • Applying skills in a Witness Challenge
  • Understanding the importance of being a WITNESS to others about the Bible
  • Analyzing truth in the Bible and in a Courtroom
  • Defining and Restating the Importance of God’s Fingerprints as evidence in the world around us
  • Examining and labeling fingerprints
  • Identifying a Culprit
  • Optional Activity: Singing and listening to, “The Fingerprints of God” song

Materials Needed Include:

Bible

Pencil or pen

Optional: Dictionary

Optional: Magnifying glass for fingerprint investigation

Optional: Materials for folder include 9x12 construction paper, coloring materials, scissors, and glue
