My Community A Social Studies Project for Special Ed

Help your students learn about their important personal information, interact with and explore their communities and communicate as well as showcase their knowledge and preferences with those around them!

The My Community Project Includes:

-A HW assignment which serves as a pre-planning page. Students and families can help generate information about the places their family goes to most frequently in their community.

-Pages to create an 8 page book all about each student's community

-3 formats for each page so that students can communicate in the way they are most comfortable - by typing, printing & gluing information, handwriting information or even selecting photographs to glue onto pages.

-A Teacher Direction page to help guide instruction and presentation of this project.
