Throughout modern history, musicians have entertained and inspired millions of listeners around the world. From John Lennon’s serene melodies to Michael Jackson’s pulsing funk, musicians and their music can vary widely from one another. For this assignment, students choose a famous musician to study and create a project to showcase their learning.

This resource guides students through the process of conducting their own research report on a famous musician. First, students choose a musician to focus on and learn how to properly conduct research. After researching, students choose how to showcase their learning by creating a poster board, presentation board, PowerPoint, or dodecahedron. Afterwards, students present their learning to the class and self-assess their achievement.
