Music Word Wall {Watercolor Theme}

In my room, I put my word wall on my back cabinet and I separate it by grade level, that way students aren't overwhelmed by looking at all the words at once. I have a header at the top of each cabinet that says the grade level. Some grade levels take up several cabinets. Any grade is responsible for their words and any words that appear on a grade below them (for example, my 3rd graders would know all of their words PLUS the K-2 words). This has been a great way for me to differentiate for them. This is also fun for my kids because as they learn a new word, they get to "steal" it from the grade above them! :)

Another way I have seen word walls used is words grouped in categories or ABC order.

List of words in ABC order included for ease of finding cards. I have also included an "ensemble" word wall that can be used with your choirs. There is separated list for these words.

Don't see a word (or words) you need? I have added editable word wall cards to this file with 12 different background colors, so you can add any word that I haven't included. I have also included directions for how to make the fonts match the other cards!
