Description

Keep this lesson plan on file for an unexpected absence. None of us like to call in sick at the last minute, but emergencies happen. This lesson plan can be used any time of year to help you out in a bind – the substitute does not need any prior musical knowledge. You’ll feel better knowing your students will still be learning about music when you’re gone!

This plan is also included in our Music Sub Plans Bundle! Save money with the bundle!

*EDITABLE Microsoft Word version included to personalize (if desired)

*Substitutes must have access to the internet and be able to show students short YouTube videos to use this lesson plan.

This lesson is written for a 50-minute class, with plenty to be sure they won’t finish early. Substitute instructions tell the substitute not to worry if they don’t get it all finished.

You can print this lesson plan and the substitute will either type in the links to the videos or, for easier access, you can go to our website and click through the links. We are able to keep those updated more easily and this allows you the ability to just give the sub a hard copy of the plan. All instructions are clearly described in the teacher instructions and substitute instructions.
