Save your precious planning time! This curriculum for the chorus classroom or general music class features 90 lesson plans aligned with the NC Essential Standards. I have organized this curriculum into units which work together to bring the student a strong foundation of vocal technique, music theory, harmony, sight reading skills, improvising skills, composition, and music history. Individual Units in order of presentation include Music Literacy, Music History, Performance Practice, Vocal Warm Ups, Hand Bells and Harmony, Composing with Music Technology, Key Signatures, Music Careers, and Introduction to the Guitar.
I like to think of these plans as the bones to my teaching presentation, saving me countless hours in preparation as my planning has become more proactive. This guide also includes a layout of the NC essential standards, song list, composer list students will study, and a Pacing Guide.
NOT INCLUDED External Resources are not included in this package. I use materials from YouTube, "Succesful Warmups" by Nacy Tefler, "The King's Singers-Rounds and Part Songs," "Everyday Warmups," and "Music Play 6 Curriculum." These must be purchased through their publishers.
