A FUN activity for Open House
This Scavenger Hunt activity is a great way to introduce yourself and your music classroom to parents during "Open House", Meet the Teacher Night, Grandparent's Day, etc. It allows students and their parents to take a tour of your room with a brief description of key items and what you'll be doing throughout the year. This document is in Microsoft WORD, and is EDITABLE to suit your needs, re-write your descriptions, etc. the way you do things in your classroom.
I set mine up as "stations" throughout my room, with a little stamper at each station. The students stamp the correct picture on their tour sheet as they visit the station and read/learn about that area with their parents. As they leave, they can turn in their completed papers for a little treat (music sticker or pencil....etc.)
