What educators are saying

I love this game! My own children and I are such huge fans of the original game, that I went searching for a music set for my classroom. My students loved it just as much!
What a great idea! I've only just recently played the original myself so I was super excited to find this resource. I'm using this as a reward option and it has been very popular!

Description

**Get ready for a room full of belly laughs!!**

Inspired by the popular card game "Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza," Trumpet Bass Flute Drum Banjo is a hilarious and fun music card game that will leave players of all ages on the floor laughing. No musical knowledge is needed to play the game, but being able to recognize the instruments from the pictures will give you an advantage. A great game for centers, small groups, and sub plans!

Game Details

3+ players

Ages: 8+

10+ minutes

Objective: Be the first to get rid of all your cards!

Game Play: All players' cards are face-down. The player who goes first places the top card from their hand into the center face-up, saying "Trumpet."

The next player to the left then puts their top card face-up on top of the last in the center, while saying "Bass." Play continues in this way, with players saying "Trumpet" "Bass" "Flute" Drum" "Banjo" ...etc until the card laid matches the word spoken (for example, a player puts down the Banjo card while saying "Banjo."

At this point, all players quickly act out playing the matched instrument and slap their hands on top of the center pile of cards. The last player to do so takes the entire center pile and puts the cards on the bottom of the cards in their hand. They then start the next round saying "Trumpet," then the next to their left "Bass," then "Flute" etc.
