Description

Students will use arrays to solve multiplication problems in this fun, Minecraft™ themed activity.

Students will view an image of an array on each card.

They will then type the corresponding numbers into the multiplication sentence.

Students will fill in both factors and the product: number of rows, number of objects in each row, and total number of objects.

Multiplication facts up to 9.

3.OA.1 Interpret products of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 5 x 7 as the total number of objects in 5 groups of 7 objects each.

Boom Cards™ Task Cards Format - This digital resource is interactive using the Boom Learning℠ platform. Students select their answers and get real-time feedback about whether their answers are correct.

Self Grading Activity - Boom Cards allow for instant feedback to the student and teacher. Teachers can create individual students accounts and student responses will be shared with the teacher through a simple report.

How to Use Boom Cards - To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial.

With this Teachers Pay Teachers purchase, new users to Boom Learning receive a FREE three-month trial of the premium account membership. This includes student progress reporting for up to 150 students and the ability to make up to 5 free decks of your own. You may upgrade or cancel at any time. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading). You will not be charged when your free trial expires.
