  • "Mudslinging in Our Elections", is an extensive culminating activity that goes in-depth on the elections of 1800, 1824, 1828, 1860, and 1912. The activity includes reading passages for each election campaign. The 1st activity asks students to read the clue and circle the corresponding election campaign. The crossword puzzle is for comprehension evaluation for all of the election passages. The critical thinking/short answer activity will require some research to completely answer the questions on some of the points included in the various election campaigns. Keys are included for all activities. For the short answer questions, suggestions on points to be included in each answer are provided.
