Description

Make your students into movie critics!

Struggling to incorporate writing into engaging activities?

Don't want to cancel sessions when the teacher decides to watch a movie in class?

Students want to watch movies but groaning whenever you pause to ask multiple comprehension questions?

Then this activity is for you!

The only thing that my students like more than watching a movie is discussing it afterwards. Some students love the movie while others hate it, which sparks a lively debate. On the other hand, there are students who want to get involve but don't know how to contribute.

This movie review turns your students into budding movie critics! Work on describing, story retelling, evaluating, stating claims, providing evidence, stating reasonings, and a bucket load of more skills!

In addition to the movie review sheet, each section is accompanied by it's own organizer to guide students to develop their ideas. Each student can be responsible for a different section to make a cohesive group review or have each student complete the review independently and compare.

-As always, Happy Speeching!
