Motivations and Contributions of Migrant Groups to Australia

This unit combines the Australian Curriculum Year 5 and Year 6 outcomes of motivations and contributions of migrant groups to Australia. It is aligned with version 9 of the Curriculum. I have combined the HASS outcomes with English outcomes in information report writing. This unit assumes that students have had prior teaching of different information reports and only provides a brief review for students before they begin their own information report writing. Each rubric covers both English and HASS outcomes on separate rows of the rubric allowing you to divide your assessment grades accordingly if necessary.

You will find a PDF document of everything needed for the unit. I have also included a Google slide of the biography note-taking planner and a Google doc that includes all of the rubrics and information reports for note-taking if you wish to share them digitally with your students rather than print them out.
