Looking for a way to infuse more vocabulary and oral French communication in an authentic way? These vocabulary cards are the perfect addition to your morning meeting, literacy centres or for those odd minutes in the day.
For ideas on how to use these cards, check out the preview! I use them as a word of the day where students orally say a sentence using that word. There are lots of other ideas too!
Each month’s set comes with numbered and non-numbered versions. There are also alternate words provided where necessary.
At the bottom of each card there is a word type notation like you’d see in a dictionary. There are no articles on the card as it will depend on their sentence. You'll find mostly nouns but there are verbs and adjectives included.
General monthly themes:
September - back to school
October - Halloween, Diwali, fall
November - fall, Remembrance Day, farm, Day of the Dead
December - Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, winter
January - Winter
February - Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, love & friendship
March - St Patrick's Day, spring break
April - Easter, Earth day, spring
May - Cinco de Mayo, spring, garden
June - summer, beach
