Morning Work for the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR- Writing Prompts - Literacy Centers

This bundle contains morning work for the entire school year!! Each day students complete a writing task about a different theme. This bundle can be used from grades K-6 and is easily differentiated. It can also be used as an independent, guided or modelled activity during literacy centers or even as a conversation starter to increase talking and listening in the classroom.

The bundle contains:

Mindfulness Monday - Writing prompts for every Monday of the school year this activity promotes mindfulness and wellbeing as well as encouraging students to think and write about their own ideas and feelings.

Morning Work – Tell Me About it Tuesday! Every Tuesday of the school year this activity aims to promote the use of adjectives in student writing to ensure they are writing quality written pieces.

Morning Work – Wacky Wednesday – Writing Prompts for every Wednesday of the school year this activity encourages students to think outside the box when they are writing by developing interesting characters and plots while also practising writing different genres.

Think and Persuade Thursday

this activity teaches students who to write to persuade as they choose between two different objects, animals or people and develop reasons why they chose a particular one to persuade others.

Photo Friday - Writing Prompts for every Friday of the school year

This activity teaches students how to infer using pictures as a prompt. Students use their inference skills to develop a story about what was/is/or will happen in the picture.
