What educators are saying

Love this resource! I have a blended class of kinder and first grade and the fact that these pages are differentiated is extremely helpful! Thank you!
This is a great resource with different levels. Very neat looking practice sheets and kids loved doing these while I helped using my board and document camera.

Description

First grade morning work (or homework) for the entire year differentiated for your students.

This morning work bundle (also can be used for homework) is differentiated into 3 levels (below, on, and above). This is intended for 1st grade and aligned with 1st grade standards. However, this would also benefit higher kindergarten students and lower 2nd grade students.

Included:

Math- Below Level, On Level, & Above Level p.1-180

Language Arts- Below Level, On Level, & Above Level p.1-180

What can I use this for?

This unit can be used as morning work or homework. It was designed to be completed independently and each page is a progression from the previous page.

What if I only want one subject?

Simply print off only math or language arts.

Do I need to go in order?

Yes. You can, however, start anywhere in this unit and then progress from that point.

Can I use this for other grades?

Absolutely! Since there are differentiated levels for each page, this unit would be great for lower 2nd graders and higher kinders.

What if a student is at different levels in each subject?

If a student is as a different level in math than they are in language arts, just copy the level per subject that is appropriate for them. For example, if you have a student that is really high in math, but lowering in reading, give him/her Set A for math and Set C for language arts.

Order three objects by length; compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.
Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.
Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
