Description
Vocabulary, Moon, The Moon, moon phases, Phases of the Moon, lunar phases, lunar cycle, Notebook, waxing, waning, gibbous, crescent, new moon, full moon, tides, crust, mantle, core, crater, and maria
This product will allow you to get the repetition needed to learn new vocabulary related to the Moon. Instead of the same old "drill and kill" teach/review the material in a different, fun and interesting way. This activity is a great way to engage those kinesthetic learners (especially if you have an interactive whiteboard).
In Ask an Astronaut students read a word or question and try to give the definition or answer. Next, drag the questions through the astronaut and the answers magically appear out the other side.
You can then have students read an answer or definition, give the matching question or vocabulary word, and then drag it back through to check their responses. 12 questions/vocabulary words are included (six on a slide)
This product is in NOTEBOOK. An opening slide contains COMPLETE directions and suggestions for use.
If you purchase this product, please take the time to give feedback and a rating. I really want to hear how it worked in your classroom
The vocabulary covered in this activity would go well with any unit that you may already teach. However, if you are looking for teaching material related to the Moon, I have many products available. If you would like to preview them, I have included a link below.
Other Moon Lessons and Activities
If you would like four different and unique ways to study/review key Moon concepts and vocabulary, I have a bundle that includes this and an additional three activities at a savings.
